SAITAMA – TASTE&TRADITION

Discover authentic Japan through food, sake, and crafts from Saitama Prefecture — where tradition meets innovation this November in Ho Chi Minh City.

Two special events bringing Japan’s craftsmanship and culinary heritage to Ho Chi Minh City

Saitama – Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Located just north of Tokyo, Saitama Prefecture is a land where traditional craftsmanship, natural flavors, and modern creativity blend in perfect harmony.

Here, generations of artisans and producers continue to uphold the Japanese spirit of “Monozukuri” — the art of making things with heart and precision.

From sake and craft gin to soy sauce, matcha, udon, and fine handmade goods, every product tells a story of passion, heritage, and the pursuit of excellence.

This November, Saitama comes to Vietnam with two exclusive events — inviting guests to taste, explore, and experience authentic Japan through its food, drinks, and craftsmanship.

SAITAMA WEEK | November 2nd – 8th, 2025

📍 Takashimaya Saigon – B2F, Event Space (in front of the elevator)

Kicking off the celebration, Saitama Week transforms Takashimaya Saigon into a cultural showcase of Japanese excellence.

Visitors can explore and enjoy a curated selection of food, alcohol, and traditional crafts directly from Saitama Prefecture:

  • Premium Sake & Craft Gin – handcrafted by long-established breweries.

  • Local flavors – curry udon, Yugeta soy sauce, Inoue Spice seasonings, and more.

  • Artisanal crafts & lifestyle goods – kimono bags, tabi shoes, indigo-dyed slippers, and elegant souvenirs made with care.

Throughout the week, guests can enjoy free tastings, learn about the stories behind each product, and experience the heart of Japanese culture — right in the center of Saigon.

DISCOVER SAITAMA – TASTE & TRADITION | November 5th, 2025

📍 Hotel Nikko Saigon – 235 Nguyen Van Cu, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

The highlight of the program, “Discover Saitama – Taste & Tradition,” is hosted by Saitama Prefectural Government in collaboration with JETRO Vietnam, featuring over 20 exhibitors and brands coming directly from Japan.

The event will be divided into two sessions:

  • Trade Show (13:00 – 15:00): An exclusive networking opportunity for importers, distributors, restaurants, and retailers to connect directly with Japanese producers and explore potential partnerships.

  • Saitama Meetup (15:00 – 16:30): An open tasting and showcase session for the public — a chance to experience the flavors, aromas, and artistry of Saitama through food, sake, and craft displays.

From Matsuoka Brewery’s sake and Togedama craft gin, to Sayama matcha, Honda-Seika rice crackers, and Bokkasha handcrafted tapestries, each brand embodies the soul of Saitama’s local craftsmanship and innovation.

A Week to Taste, Feel, and Experience Japan

Both Saitama Week at Takashimaya and Discover Saitama – Taste & Tradition at Hotel Nikko Saigon offer more than an exhibition — they represent a cultural journey.

It’s an invitation to discover the spirit of “Made in Japan with Heart”, where every product is born from dedication, nature, and time.

Come and experience Saitama – where taste, culture, and people come together to tell a story of Japan today.
