About Brewery
The Prefectural Gin Project is an initiative to plan and develop craft gins using the specialties of each of the 47 prefectures in Japan, and to promote them in Japan and abroad.
Our goal is to maximize the flavors of products unique to each locality, and to design products that are not only delicious, but can also be used as a fun communication tool at gatherings where people can enjoy a drink in hand.
About Oita - The King of Shiitake Mushrooms
Oita Prefecture is renowned as the pioneer of Japan’s shiitake mushroom cultivation. The region’s Kouko dried shiitake mushrooms have dominated the Annual Dried Shiitake Quality Competition, winning 48 out of 62 times, securing the top position in Japan. Oita’s shiitake mushrooms are praised for their premium quality, rich umami flavor, and exceptional nutritional benefits, earning them the title “The King of Mushrooms.”
