About Brewery

Midorikawa Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. is a sake brewery located in Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, founded in 1884. Situated in the southern part of Uonuma City, it is surrounded by rice fields where Uonuma Koshihikari rice is cultivated. The brewery draws spring water from the underground at a depth of 50 meters in the Uonuma hills, using it as brewing water. The Uonuma region is characterized by significant temperature variations, making it ideal for rice cultivation. Additionally, the winter season with its heavy snowfall provides stable temperatures that are conducive to sake production. These factors create an environment that produces exceptional sake.
